Olympic kitesurfer Bruno Lobo saves a woman who is drowning

Bruno Lobo, a Brazilian Olympic kitesurfer, saved a woman who seemed to be drowning in the ocean.

On January 10, Mr. Lobo used a new camera he was testing to record the scene off the shore of Sao Luis.

The athlete shared the video on Instagram, claiming that after a short while of sailing, he heard a “cry for help” and turned to “see a girl drowning”.

He claimed to have gone up to her, tried to reassure her, and instructed her to get on his back.

The rescue video then shows Lobo pulling the woman back to shore, where lifeguards were ready to help, with the aid of his kite.

“Lifeguards carried out first aid on the seashore and thank God everything went well,” Lobo stated.

He went on to caution others, saying, “Be warned about the danger of the sea, rivers, and any place you don’t know because the current in some places is usually very strong.”
