Nick Jonas shares his feelings on being a father to Malti
In January 2022, Nick Jonas and his spouse, Priyanka Chopra, had their baby, Malti Marie. In a recent interview with People, the international pop artist talked about his experiences as a parent to a two-year-old. He revealed that even if he may feel like the coolest guy on stage, his daughter, who is ignorant of his accomplishments, doesn’t care. In his own words:
“The best part about being a dad for me and balancing things like this work stuff — and this is hard work — is that you could feel like your coolest self on top of the world, and she just doesn’t care at all.”
According to Nick, Malti is more interested in playing games with him about the well-known Disney princess Moana and his boyfriend Maui at this young age. But more than anything else, this small action holds great significance for him. The singer admitted that rather than feeling offended, he is happy that he is just a ‘dad’ for his daughter at home. Nick expressed his thoughts on parenthood as follows:
“What matters most to me is that she wants to play Moana and Maui with me. The fact that I’m just ‘Dad’ while I’m at home means a lot, and that time with her is valuable.”
