During the promotion of his film, Custody in 2023, Naga Chaitanya reacted to the speculations about his affair with Sobhita Dhulipala after his split with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In his words:
“I don’t care no matter what is being said about my work. But when it comes to my family, I feel hurt. I don’t mind when I’m being spoken about. But when they drag in my family or a third party, I feel that’s very wrong. To what level will we go to?”
When Sobhita Dhulipala was spotted at Chaitanya’s new home
As per a source, Chaitanya, who recently bought a home in Hyderabad, was seen giving a tour of it to Sobhita. Talking about the same, the source said:
“Chay and Sobhita seemed very comfortable in each other’s company as they spent time at the actor’s new house. Naga Chaitanya was giving her a tour of his massive home. After a few hours, they left together in the same car.”
As soon as Chaitanya’s linkup rumours with Sobhita surfaced on social media, people started bashing the actress for being a homebreaker. Some also accused Chaitanya of cheating on his ex-wife, Samantha. However, Chaitanya’s fans had a different take on his linkup reports. They accused Samantha of planting fake rumours about him to put him in a bad light.

In March 2023, Sobhita and Chaitanya were spotted together in a restaurant in London. Back then, Chef, Surender Mohan mistakenly shared a picture featuring Chaitanya posing with him while Sobhita was seen sitting in the background wearing a saree. However, the chef deleted the post later, but it was certain that something was cooking between Sobhita and Chaitanya.
In April 2024, the couple went on a secluded trip together, and their pictures made people on the internet guess that they were together on this trip. Both actors took to their respective social media accounts to share some pictures from the jungle safari, and the netizens put two and two together in no time.

In August 2024, several South Indian media portals claimed that Chaitanya and Sobhita were all set to get engaged. And finally, on August 8, 2024, Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna, announced the couple’s engagement. The couple exchanged rings in the actor’s Hyderabad residence, and both of their family members graced the traditional ceremony. As per a report is to be followed, the ceremony began with a puja and followed by a lavish vegetarian lunch from Andhra cuisine. Later, Naga Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna, reportedly hosted a lavish dinner.
