Missouri girl charged with setting canine on fireplace in ‘ritual sacrifice’

As a part of a reported ritualistic sacrifice, police in Missouri say a lady stole a canine, killed it and set it on fireplace.

Brianna Lynn Lingo, 29, is going through felony prices of stealing an animal and animal abuse by torture and mutilation whereas the animal was alive, on-line Missouri courtroom information present.

The crime happened at Lingo’s mom’s residence in Moberly, simply north of Columbia.

A Moberly Police Division spokesperson informed USA TODAY that officers arrested Lingo Thursday, after her mom dialed 911 asking for assist.

Throughout the name, Lingo’s mom informed officers her daughter killed her canine – a terrier combine – as a part of “a ritual sacrifice” based on a possible trigger affidavit. The affidavit didn’t elaborate on the sacrifice the proprietor referred to.

When officers arrived on the mom’s residence they discovered the canine’s physique, which had been burned in a fireplace pit in a courtyard.

In response to the affidavit, Lingo informed detectives she strangled after which burned its physique. She didn’t elaborate.

Police arrested her and booked her into the Randolph County Jail the place she was being held Friday on $15,000 bond.

A Randolph County courtroom spokesman informed USA TODAY Lingo was arraigned Friday morning and is due again in courtroom on June 21 for a bond listening to.
