Megyn Kelly bashes Blake Lively at Time100 gala

Megyn Kelly didn’t hold back on the red carpet at the TIME100 Gala, taking a direct shot at Blake Lively’s selection on this year’s “Most Influential People” list.

In a frank moment with the Daily Mail at the Thursday night event in New York City, the political analyst shared her uncensored opinion—and let’s just say, it wasn’t a love letter.

“It’s a ridiculous joke,” Kelly said, evidently dissatisfied with Lively’s accolade. “She should not be here. “She has no say over anything.”

But the gloves did not end there. Kelly went on to claim that the Gossip Girl actor concocted a “fake MeToo allegation” against her It Ends With Us co-star and the film’s director, Justin Baldoni.

According to the former Fox News anchor, “She’s lived to regret doing it because virtually every allegation she’s made has fallen apart.”

“And so for her to be honored for doing that, to try to ruin a man over absolutely nothing, is a scandal,” she told me.

“Obviously, [Time is] looking for big stars to come here and generate pages on their magazines, but that was very wrong.”

Kelly, 54, also threw in some snark, stating that she hoped to take a photo with Lively and Meghan Markle from a distance, adding, “They provided [her] with so many hours of content” for The Megyn Kelly Show.

“I have a feeling [Lively is] going to be avoiding me,” she told me. “I will not be avoiding anyone. “I’m good.”

Meanwhile, Blake Lively arrived at the event looking stunning in a Zuhair Murad off-the-shoulder gown, joined by her husband Ryan Reynolds and mother Elaine.

Reynolds had his own TIME spotlight moment earlier this week, when he spoke at the summit.

Lively, 37, was included to the prestigious list not just for her Hollywood stardom, but also as a “philanthropist and student of our country’s most intractable problems.”

Despite the acknowledgment, the honor is

sparked significant reaction online, especially given the recent legal situation involving Baldoni.
