Mechanics fined and suspended for blocking opposing group’s bike from leaving pit lane | CNN

Two mechanics have been fined and suspended for blocking an opposing group’s bike from leaving the pit lane throughout qualifying for a motorcycle race.

On Saturday, two members of the Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max group had been caught on digital camera showing to intentionally impede the bike of Adrian Fernandez as he tried to depart the Tech3 KTM storage through the second a part of qualifying for the Moto3 Aragon Grand Prix.

MotoGP introduced afterward Saturday that each mechanics had been fined €2,000 (USD2003.23) and suspended for 2 races for “interfering and making contact with the bike and rider of one other group in an aggressive and harmful method.”
