Lil Nas X thought back on his time working with Camila Cabello and how he became acquainted with her.
He Knows, a 2024 single that the 25-year-old singer co-wrote with the former member of Fifth Harmony, “didn’t feel like work.”
In an interview with Paper, the Call Me By Your Name singer revealed that Cabello gave her his “confidence back.”
“We did a great job at uplifting each other and showing each other how we view the situation and how we view each other from outside of ourselves,” Lil Nas X stated.
“Once you made up your mind: ‘Oh, the world doesn’t see me as something great or feels like I’ve done anything amazing,'” proceeds the Industry Baby singer. It feels wonderful to hear [affirmation] from someone you genuinely admire and who you admire what they have accomplished, especially when it seems sincere and not like someone is attempting to take advantage of you.”
“[Camila] made me feel so good, she made me feel so great,” he continued, gushing over his close buddy. And that marked the start of my confidence recovery. It feels good to finally arrive at this point, where I realize who the f–k I am. I am aware of my destination.
