Liam McNeeley had a season-high 38 points and 10 rebounds as UConn rallied from a 14-point hole late in the first half to defeat No. 24 Creighton 70-66 on Tuesday night.
Creighton (18-7, 11-3) returned to the AP Top 25 this week for the first time since late November, but shot only 30% in the second half and lost for the first time since January 3.
McNeeley led the Huskies all night in his second game back from an ankle injury that kept him out for eight games. The rookie phenom recorded his fourth double-double, scoring 23 points and converting four of his season-high five three-pointers after halftime.
