Matt Kuhnemann, a left-arm spinner, has been cited for a questionable action during Australia’s Test series in Sri Lanka.
Kuhnemann, who took 16 wickets in two matches in Galle, will now have to undergo tests at an ICC-approved facility, with Brisbane the most likely venue.
Kuhnemann’s actions have been brought into question for the first time since his professional career began in 2017.
“The Australian team was notified of the match officials’ referral following the second Test against Sri Lanka in Galle and will support Matt through the process of clearing this matter,” according to a CA representative.
Matt has played 124 professional games since his debut in 2017, including five Tests and four One-Day Internationals. He’s played 55 Big Bash League games since 2018.
“For the first time in eight years of professional cricket, his actions have been called into doubt.
