At the opening ceremony held in Vancouver on Saturday, February 8, Prince Harry took the platform and gave a stirring address.

Highlights from the ceremony were posted on the official Invictus Games social media accounts, which were established by the Duke of Sussex in 2014.

Prior to the formal start, the players were seen interacting with the audience and interacting with one other. In the released video, Harry was seen giving the speech with a positive attitude as Meghan stood behind him but shared the platform.

“At the Nations Welcome Reception tonight, we gathered to honor the amazing nations competing in the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, presented by ATCO and Boeing,” the caption said.

“We are joined in the power of sport, healing, and community as we set out on this incredible trip. Let the Games start! Welcome to Vancouver and Whistler!

The announcement coincides with King Charles and Queen Camilla hosting star-studded festivities at their home in Highgrove. David Beckham and his wife Victoria, Harry’s now-former buddies, were also present and had a great talk during the function.
