Katy Perry stir a buzz with high profile dinner, new friendship

On Wednesday, July 30, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was seen in the audience at Katy Perry’s sold-out Lifetimes Tour at Montreal’s Bell Centre.

In a social media snapshot, Trudeau, 53, was seen grinning and sporting a casual black t-shirt as he watched the artist perform.

The sighting came soon after Trudeau and Perry, 40, were spotted on Monday, July 28 in a Montreal park while walking a little dog.

Later, the two were spotted having dinner at Le Violon, a local eatery. There, they met Chef Danny Smiles and went to the kitchen to express their gratitude to the crew in person.

One month after People magazine revealed that Perry and 48-year-old Orlando Bloom had called it quits on their engagement, Perry had dinner with Trudeau.

Perry has been concentrating on her music and her Lifetimes Tour, which began in promotion of her 2024 album 143, despite the recent split. Her greatest singles and deep cuts from her career, including Thinking of You and Firework, are included in the set list.

With 45.3 million plays per day on Spotify, Perry’s album has continued to gain popularity as touring.

The Teenage Dream singer scheduled more gigs in Asia before the end of the year to accommodate the surge in ticket sales demand. On August 3, Perry returns to the United States in Detroit to carry on the U.S. leg of the tour.
