During her performance in Adelaide on Thursday, June 26, Katy Perry fulfilled a young fan’s dream by surprising 12-year-old Keegan Powers.
According to Glam Adelaide, Keegan, who gained widespread attention in March for his vivacious dancing during a Dua Lipa performance, finally had his turn. When Perry saw his homemade sign during the concert, he called out for him to come onstage, saying, “Tell people who you are! You’re a superstar.
Keegan, who was obviously delighted, told her how long he had wanted to dance with her on stage.
“I have so many friends who can attest to the fact that I have been dreaming of this moment since the day I received my tickets. Additionally, since October 1st of last year, I have been texting Katy on Instagram.
Perry then encouraged him by saying, “You better show me what’s up…,” as the two engaged in lighthearted conversation. Come on, Keegan, let’s go. Before long, he was performing flawless flips, handsprings, and splits to a boisterous crowd while dancing confidently to her hit song, Swish Swish.
Perry gave Keegan the microphone and knelt on stage to cheer him after his performance.
Perry retorted, “Adelaide, I feel like you have a star on your hands,” when he referred to her American Idol moment as “Wig.” For this amazing young man, create some noise.

Keegan shared his dream with Perry, saying, “I want to go on tour.” I do. This is how I want stadiums and arenas to sell out. And all I want to do is dance.
