John Legend reflects on his reunion with Kelly Clarkson

Recently, John Legend shared his enthusiasm about getting back together with Kelly Clarkson for the next season of The Voice: Battle of the Champions.

The artist talked candidly about getting back together with Kelly at this week’s blind auditions in an exclusive interview with Extra.

“It was a love fest,” John said to the site.

“We are very competitive and we still are, but we truly care so much about each other, respect each other as artists and human beings,” the musician said in reflection of their relationship.

John clarified, though, that they had been friends with Adam Levine for a very long time.

“We have worked together, we sung together and we have all grown up,” remarked the 46-year-old.

He recalled that when he first began working with Adam and Kelly, we were all just starting families and they both had very small children.

However, John stated that his oldest is in the “fourth grade,” whereas Kelly’s oldest is currently in the “fifth grade.”

The artist revealed that Adam’s children are around the same age as both his and Kelly’s.

John went on to say, “We are all growing up together, going through that parent life, and learning how to do it all.”

“We always see how each other is doing. The artist also mentioned that her wife, Chrissy Teigen, is acquainted with Kelly and keeps tabs on her.
