The great news is that Jesse McCartney and Katie Peterson will soon become parents!
The 37-year-old pair announced on Instagram on February 14 that they are expecting their first child in August 2025.
They shared a number of Valentine’s Day-themed pictures, one of which included them forming a heart over Peterson’s expanding baby bulge, to convey the joyful news.
The adorable post also included a sonogram with the words “Baby Mac” and “Aug. 2025” written around it, surrounded with red roses and love.
The soon-to-be parents penned, “Our lil Valentine…,” in the caption while sporting “mom” and “dad” monogrammed pajamas. JK, coming 8/8 xo.
In an Instagram Story, McCartney also provided followers with an inside glimpse into their major reveal. He remarked in a video, “Alright, here we go,” shortly before the pair clicked the upload button together.
With a nervous giggle, Peterson said, “I’m scared!” The world found out moments later.
Later, the Beautiful Soul singer said, “It seemed much more genuine once I shared this news publicly! “New Chapter, you guys.” Peterson merely added “Mom and Dad” with a heart hands emoji when she repeated the announcement on her own Stories.
After dating for seven years, the singer-actor and actress Peterson were married in 2021. They are now preparing for their most important task to date: parenting!
