Jennifer Lopez has recently reflected on her connection with her character Judy Robles in Unstoppable movie.
“We were kindred spirits,” said the Marry Me star in a new interview with Variety.
JLo continued, “We both grew up Latina in this country. We both had children and have hopes and dreams for them.”
Elaborating on why she’s drawn to Unstoppable role, the Maid in Manhattan actress stated, “We both had challenging relationships, which left us holding our families together.”
JLo discussed the resilience women built because of their environments, saying, “Women are strong. We have to be.”
The Selena actress mentioned, “From the minute women are born, we’re always having to prove ourselves, to show we’re good enough. That creates a type of strength.”
“And then a lot of us give birth — and there’s nothing that makes you stronger than doing that,” added JLo.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Out of Sight actress disclosed she was “blown away” with the Legend & Groundbreaker Award at the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival.
Speaking of the award, JLo remarked, “I’m humbled.”
However, the Atlas actress pointed out, “I still have so much more to do. I’m at the halfway mark. I feel like my best work is in front of me.”
“My biggest projects are in front of me, and my biggest successes. Everything is in the future,” added JLo.
