After losing a friend in the L.A. fire, Jennifer Garner opened up about her sorrow.
Jennifer Garner shared the tragic loss of a friend in the fires and talked candidly about the profound emotional toll that the destructive wildfires in Los Angeles County have taken on her Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
The Alias star and chef José Andrés said, “I did lose a friend and for our church it’s really tender,” in an interview with MSNBC on January 10. Therefore, I don’t think I should discuss her just now. However, I did lose a buddy since they were unable to leave in time.
Garner, 52, who has two children with her ex-husband Ben Affleck, Violet, 19, and Samuel, 12, described the utter destruction in her immediate surroundings.
She said, “I feel almost guilty walking through my house,” which made her wonder how she might help during such trying times.
“How can I help? How may I be of assistance? What am I able to provide? “What can I contribute with these hands, these walls, and my safety?”
“My heart bleeds for my friends,” Garner went on. I mean, 5,000 homes have been lost, and I can think of 100 families. I’ve spent twenty-five years living in and around the Palisades. Therefore, I believe that we all simply want to work in some way to be of assistance. It’s not some remote location that’s inaccessible.”
