After over a year of separation, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce has been formally finalized.

The Los Angeles County Superior Court ruled that Lopez and Affleck are now legally single as of February 21, formally dissolving their marriage, according to court records that People magazine was able to obtain.

Despite the fact that the couple had previously negotiated a divorce settlement on January 6, this event has occurred.

The 55-year-old Atlas actor and 52-year-old Affleck first renewed their romance in 2021, and in July 2022, they were married in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas. Then, on August 20, 2022, the pair married in front of friends and family in a bigger ceremony in Georgia.

However, Lopez filed for divorce, claiming irreconcilable differences as the cause of the breakup, precisely two years after their Georgia wedding.

She specified the date of separation as April 26, 2024. The court’s decision has formally ended Lopez and Affleck’s marriage by granting them a divorce.

In the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the singer-actor filed for divorce from Affleck, asking for a division of legal bills and no spousal support for either side. She also requested that her previous name, Jennifer Lynn Lopez, be reinstated.

The Argo star and Lopez will split the proceeds from the July 2024 listing of their Beverly Hills estate. The precise amount of the sale price will not be disclosed.
