Rio de Janeiro has Dua Lipa’s heart.
Before taking over the Farmasi Arena on November 22, the Albanian pop star soaked up the Brazilian city with family and friends.
Taking over to her Instagram one day before lighting up the stage, the 30-year-old Radical Optimism star offered a glimpse from her downtime with loved ones.
Although her fiancé Callum Turner was missing from the carousel, her father Dukagjin Lipa, mother Anesa Lipa, younger siblings Rina and Gjin Lipa, and several friends were all featured.
On Friday, November 21, she posted a photodump documenting all the fun moments and memories the group made during their stay in the world-famous Carnival city.
The Grammy winning singer was seen playing cards with her parents, siblings and friends at a cafe. Other images showed them all posing in front of the most famous statue in Rio, Christ the Redeemer, a colossal Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ located at the summit of Mount Corcovado.
After spending quality time with her close-knot circle, the night before her only show in Rio de Janeiro, she took over the stage with renewed energy and delivered stunning renditions of her hit songs, including Training Season, Levitating, New Rules, and One Kiss.
Lipa, 30, also performed a special rendition of Magalenha with Brazilian musician Carlinhos Brown.
For the unversed, Lipa was scheduled to perform two shows in Brazil in as part of her Radical Optimism tour. The dates were set for November in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
