Donald Trump issue a warning to Canada and Mexico about the “trade war”.

Donald Trump is scheduled to speak with Canada and Mexico about the “trade war” and issue a warning that “we can play the game all they want.”

In his upcoming speech to the leaders of Canada and Mexico, Donald Trump cautioned them from retaliating against his tariffs, stating, “We can play the game all they want.”

Imports from Canada and Mexico will now be subject to 25% taxes, according to the US president.

Following that, the two nations retaliated with levies.

But the US president dismissed the retaliation when he returned to Washington from Mar-a-Lago on Sunday night.

“I adore the Canadian people. I don’t agree with Canada’s leadership. And there’s going to be something there.

“I don’t mind if they want to play the game. They can play the game with us as much as they like.

Additionally, Mr. Trump told reporters that import levies will “definitely happen” with the European Union and threatened to slap higher duties abroad.

“We’ll see what happens” was Mr. Trump’s response to reporters’ questions on possible tariffs on the UK.

Following Mr. Trump’s tariff imposition, Asian market shares fell in early trading on Monday, while U.S. equities futures pointed precipitously down.

This morning, the Nikkei in Japan began 2% down, and significant declines were also seen in the indexes of Taiwan and South Korea.

Alvin Tan, head of Asia currency strategy at RBC Capital Markets in Singapore, declared that “Trump’s trade war has begun.”
