Danielle Collins: The tennis player dismisses the jeering from the audience and claims that “nobody got hurt.”

The Australian Open audience jeered American tennis player Danielle Collins both as she entered the court and as she went off after losing to her countrywoman Madison Keys on Saturday.

Following her victory over local favorite Destanee Aiava in the second round on Thursday, Collins, 31, played the part of a “pantomime villain” by taunting the audience.

In the match against the 24-year-old local qualifier, Collins, who finished second at Melbourne Park in 2022, dismissed the taunts she received from the audience by blowing kisses into the air, putting her palm to her ear, and touching her butt, signaling to the hecklers to kiss her butt.
