Condé Nast has appointed Mark Guiducci as the first global editorial director of Vanity Fair, a newly formed position that puts him in charge of one of the company’s most recognizable brands. Guiducci, based in New York, will supervise Vanity Fair’s creative and editorial direction in all territories where it is published, including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain.
Guiducci has been Vogue’s creative editorial director since 2020, overseeing content for the company’s largest title across print, internet, video, audio, social media, and live events. He led the creation of Vogue globe, one of the company’s most successful new franchises, which brought theater, sport, and culture together to redefine how fashion is presented to the globe.

From Anna Wintour, Chief Creative Officer, Condé Nast
“I was raised in an editing environment and have spent my whole life surrounded by editors. One thing I’ve noticed is that the majority of them are not fixed rudders, but sails. They repeatedly capture the breezes of their moment thanks to the distinctive weaving of their interests and experience. They motivate their teammates to move with speed, agility, and exhilarating daring-do. That is the beauty of Mark, an active and imaginative editor at the heart of his generation, and a leader under whom Vanity Fair will flourish in ways I can predict and, no doubt, many more I cannot. Nobody knows what the future holds — only that Vanity Fair will define it under Mark.”
From Mark Guiducci
“The globe is whirling faster than ever before, as the powers of Hollywood, politics, the arts, money, and style meet with the intensity of a Verdi opera’s final act. Vanity Fair is at the heart of it all, documenting the stakes and spectacle. My first job after college was here, and it turned out to be the best journalism school I could have dreamed. It is a privilege for me to return as global editorial director fifteen years later, reuniting with past colleagues and meeting new ones from all around the world. I am really thankful to Roger, Stan, and Anna for this chance and can’t wait to begin. “It’ll be an exciting adventure.”
