Brenda Song is ecstatic with the success of her fellow Disney alumni.
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody alumna considered the careers of Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, and other former Disney stars on February 25 at The Paley Center for Media in New York while promoting her new Netflix series Running Point.
“It is very amazing. “It’s the most beautiful thing to see my peers growing up,” Song, 36, told People magazine. “Amid all of this chaos, I’ve had the good fortune to run into Selena, and I’m just so proud.”
With a SAG Award for Only Murders in the Building and several nods for best supporting actress for her role in the musical crime movie Emilia Pérez, Gomez, 32, has dominated both television and cinema.
The 32-year-old Cyrus has also had a remarkable year, being nominated for a Golden Globe for Beautiful That Way and winning a Grammy for her work on Beyoncé’s II Most Wanted. Last year, the Hannah Montana star also won her first two Grammys.
The Wendy Wu actress declared, “They’re finally receiving the flowers they deserve.” “They’re also such talented women, and it’s stunning to watch them grow from kids to young adults to adults — and it’s been amazing to watch them do it with such grace,” Song continued.
Regarding her own path, Song continues to be active on both a personal and professional level.
Alongside Kate Hudson, the mother of two, who has children with her fiancé Macaulay Culkin, starring in Running Point, a sports comedy that is partially based on the life of L.A. Lakers President Jeanie Buss.
