Blake Lively reacted quickly to Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit rejection, describing it as a ‘victory for women.’
A source close to the situation told People Magazine about the Gossip Girl star’s emotional reaction after learning about Baldoni’s countersuit on Monday, June 9.
The 37-year-old allegedly sobbed with relief when Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed the It Ends With Us co-producer’s complaint, which accused the power couple of extortion and slander.
According to the insider, Lively is ‘clearly relieved’ after her attorneys described it as a “total victory and a complete vindication” for her.
They stated, “She is clearly relieved. They both are. She feels justified. “Everyone is happy.”
This comes after Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, criticized the system following Lively’s move to dismiss the lawsuit in March.
He stated at the time that it is ‘one of the most egregious examples of exploiting our judicial system.’
