Blake Lively blown by jab from judge in Justin Baldoni case

Blake Lively in court against Justin Baldoni

According to reports, Blake Lively’s legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni included an awkward moment in court. Judge Lewis Liman reminded those in attendance at an emergency hearing on Wednesday that “celebrity is fleeting,” according to a Daily Mail article.

Following worries expressed by Kevin Fritz, Baldoni’s lawyer, that Lively would be getting “special treatment simply because she’s a celebrity,” the remark was made. However, the judge ended the debate by referring to such remarks as “a serious issue.”

He advised the attorney to maintain a more formal tone.

“The court is attempting to address certain issues, and it helps me if you put it in terms and terminology that the court is familiar with. Making charges is not helpful to me, and it hasn’t helped me in this instance either,” Judge Liman stated.

Regarding the more general matter, the judge clarified that notoriety is not taken into consideration in his courtroom.

“I am fully aware that [Baldoni] is a well-known individual. “So is [Lively],” he said, before continuing, “I told you previously that I didn’t know who your client was or who the plaintiff was when I entered this case. I didn’t know their names.

From my perspective, it doesn’t matter if they are famous right now or not,” he added. As you and everyone else are aware, fame may be short-lived. Additionally, it has no bearing on the court.

“So, your point is well taken that celebrity is irrelevant,” the judge said firmly as she wrapped up the case. Let us now disregard it. We don’t have to discuss it.

The hearing was held just one day before to Lively’s deposition. The courtroom conversation demonstrates how even Hollywood celebrities are susceptible to the direct tone of legal processes, even when there are still little information available about the case.
