Blackpink Takes Paris Fashion Week
Blackpink Takes Paris Fashion Week

Despite the fact that just half of them have landed so far, the Blackpink girls have taken Paris Fashion Week by storm.
Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa are global ambassadors for the French fashion labels Dior, Saint Laurent, Chanel, and Celine, with the former two already creating a name for themselves in Paris.
She made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week in a tiny black-and-white patterned A-line dress from the French label’s 2022 cruise collection, which included embroidery of the ancient Greek goddess Athena. She completed the look with a metallic gold tiny Lady Dior bag and black platform shoes.

Though Jisoo, or “Blinks” to Blackpink fans, was designated Dior’s global ambassador in March, the singer has been working closely with the company and creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri for several years. Following Rosé, who had just made her Met Gala debut in New York City, she attended Saint Laurent’s spring 2022 show, which included a runway overlooking a spectacularly lighted Eiffel Tower. Rosé, born Chae-young Park, wore a short black slipdress by the French label, Rosé, and matched it with black knee-high leather boots and layered two gold, also by Saint Laurent. She also wore two Tiffany & Co. diamond rings, for which she is a global spokesperson. “I’m really extremely happy to see his new clothes and very honoured to be invited again,” she said of the brand’s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello, to WWD. “I like how he promotes a strong look for ladies. I’m in love with everything about it.” After working closely with Saint Laurent for several years, she was named the brand’s first worldwide ambassador in 59 years in July 2020. She also became the muse for Yves Saint Laurent Beauté in January.

Rosé made history at the Met Gala this year, becoming one of just two K-pop singers, along with rapper CL, to ever attend the event. She donned a simple little black dress from Saint Laurent’s winter 2021 collection, completed with a large white bow over the chest. Vaccarello walked alongside her on the red carpet. While Blackpink has origins in South Korea, the group’s global fame has skyrocketed in recent years, with the group becoming an international pop success. The girl trio has set multiple records since its debut in 2016, including the most viewed music video in 24 hours on YouTube. At the time, Blackpink’s popular 2020 single “How You Like That” set two Guinness World Records. A handful of shows have yet to take place as PFW is still in its early stages. Blinks is anticipating the appearances of Jennie and Lisa, who are expected to attend the Chanel and Celine presentations later this week and are expected to draw enormous crowds.
