All About Lando Norris' Parents, Adam Norris and Cisca Wauman

Lando Norris’ biggest supporters are his parents, Adam Norris and Cisca Wauman.

The pair, who have been together for more than 25 years, also share a son Oliver and daughters Flo and Cisca.

Lando made his F1 debut at the 2019 Formula 1 World Championship, per his website. At 24 years old, Lando became the youngest British Formula 1 driver in history after spending the 2018 season as a Test & Reserve driver for McLaren. He dominated the 2020 and 2021 seasons with a record number of podium finishes. Lando then snagged his first career win at the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix in May 2024.

While Adam and Cisca weren’t there to celebrate their son’s triumphant win in person, they said the moment was an emotional milestone for the whole family.

“It’s been amazing. I think you’ve seen 110 [races], and I lost count after 900 races I’ve been to over the last 16 years. It’s been a long time, but it’s there. We got there,” Adam told Sky Sports following Lando’s big win. “People don’t realize that there’s a lot of bad days just as well as good days. We’re five years in and you think, ‘OK, this is it. It’s too much, too many weekends away from home, away from your family.’ But it makes it all worth it.”

The couple raised a house full of talented athletes, including sons Oliver and Lando, and daughters Flo and Cisca.

Similar to his younger brother, Oliver had a successful career in karting up until his retirement from the sport in 2014. He wed longtime girlfriend Savannah Norris in May 2022, and the pair share a daughter named Mila.

Born in 2002, Flo is one of Lando’s younger sisters. She is an international showjumper in Great Britain, where she competes in equestrian events such as dressage, eventing, hunters and equitation.

Cisca, who shares the same name as her mom, is the youngest of the Norris clan and supports her talented siblings away from the spotlight.

By age 36, Adam had retired from his corporate job at Hargreaves Lansdown. In 2007, the company was recognized as Britain’s largest direct-to-consumer pension retailer.

When Hargreaves Lansdown went public, Adam stepped down from the business to spend more time with his family. In a 2023 interview with Barclays, Adam said he has no plans of slowing down anytime soon and detailed that he hopes to be building different businesses for another 20 to 30 years.

“So, while I achieved financial success at a very young age, I realized that I get more pleasure from building something than I do from spending money. I enjoy building things and I enjoy solving problems,” he explained.

While appearing on Olympian Tom Daley’s Made with Love podcast, Lando took a moment to give his mom an emotional shoutout for her continued love and support.

“I want to give a massive thank you for all the times you dealt with me, and all the help and support that you gave me when I was a little boy to make me into the person that I am now. Also, for supporting me in the job that I do, spending so much time away from you, my sisters, and everyone, and for making me the guy that I am today. I think I’m a good guy. I try to be and a lot of that is because of you. So thanks, mom!” Lando said on the podcast.

Lando will be the first one to admit that he grew up with a “privileged” lifestyle, which included “having a manager and a trainer since I was 12.” But, the F1 racer said in no way were things handed to him.

“There’s many things that my dad has given to me, or I’ll say, invested in me. But it’s an investment, not a given. I need to pay back that investment and reward him, and use what he’s given me to show that it’s all been useful and not a waste of time,” he said on the High Performance podcast in 2024.

“One thing that my mom and dad have done very well is keep me grounded,” Lando continued. “[They help me] live a life as normally as possible [and] not get carried away in any way.”
