According to ESPN, USC recruit and five-star men’s collegiate basketball prospect Alijah Arenas was involved in a terrible vehicle accident on Thursday and was subsequently put in a medically induced coma.
He is the 18-year-old son of three-time All-Star guard Gilbert Arenas.
According to Sports Illustrated, Arenas committed to USC on January 30 after receiving offers from many other elite universities, including Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, and Louisville, making him one of the most sought-after recruits in this year’s class. Prior to reclassifying, he was supposed to graduate in 2026.
