Now that the majority of NFL free agency has concluded, we can return to our regularly scheduled examination of the 2025 NFL Draft.
We may have gained some insight into the first round of this year’s draft as a number of clubs recruited players to cover need. I thus made another attempt to predict how the first 32 selections would play out in April.
Before we get started, let me remind you that I will be back at the desk with NFL Network for the first two selection evenings. For that, I can’t wait to travel to Green Bay.
Let’s move on to the mock now!
A quarterback is needed for the Titans. Following the NFL Scouting Combine and over this entire process, Ward has maintained his impressive performance. His high end is excellent, in my opinion. I have adored Ward since he was a student at Washington State. He was a fantastic addition to Miami, and since he isn’t afraid to take chances, he has the gunslinger spirit to truly go out there and turn around a terrible club. He will be prepared to lay everything on the line and go out there. The Titans aren’t going anywhere without a quarterback, but they have strengthened their offensive line in free agency.
Assuming that Myles Garrett would be long gone, I would have been absolutely certain last week that the Browns would have selected Abdul Carter. But now that Garrett will remain in Cleveland, the Browns may keep adding players to their roster. I’m not sure if you can ignore Hunter at this point. He has the ability to improve on both sides of the ball, which has never been said of any player in draft history. He might rank in the top five at the position, and I think he will be a fantastic cornerback in the NFL. His ability to combine that with his status as a No. 3-slot wide receiver is what makes him so unique.
